For the past few years I have taken my job of meal planning very seriously.  I figure I am my families best chance of getting at least one nutrient dense, enjoyable meal a day.  Much of the information I have read advocates integrating whole grains and power foods into the diet.  We have completely switched to whole wheat pasta and bread.  I have also made cookies, scones and pie crust with whole grain flour.  My son thinks this change makes the cookies especially filling so you don't eat as many.  Power foods include fruits, vegetables, berries, yogurt, nuts, fish and other foods that are high in antioxidants.  A more complete list will be added to the Food and Nutrition section of our website.  Fruits and vegetables are basically freebies, as in, you can eat as many as you wish (within reason).  These are some things we are trying to eat a better diet.  Share your ideas to win prizes.

Already at play doing Goo Roo stuff.  I made raspberry scones and fruit salad for my teen-aged son.  When he wakes up I'll have an answer to that 'What's for breakfast question.' , I am sure to hear later this morning.  I plan to make a batch of granola trail mix.  I love love love eating it on yogurt for a quick breakfast along with my Shaklee Cinch Shake, of course.  My husband and I have worked with a friend for two days cleaning out my little slice of Heaven.  He built it, "The Potting Shed",for me about 7 years ago; a room of my own that is greenhouse/office/crafting area.  We set up a new area for working on projects.  I have half the forest in there, which I drug home from our property in Northern Idaho.  The new area I plan to use for stained glass boxes, paving stones, etc.  Our current endeavor is to install plumbing to the sink and a whirlpool tub....  The room is a way of practicing what I preach.  A sanctuary where...
